the tyranny of perception.

i spend a lot of time thinking about ‘appropriateness.’

since beginning this 30 day writing challenge 5 days ago, i’ve contemplated the costs of sharing my writing across platforms without editing them for ‘market fit.’

when i hit ‘publish’ on Typeshare, and it invites me to automatically post on Twitter, Medium, and LinkedIn — i hesitate.

is it really appropriate for me to post personal meandering thoughts on a platform like LinkedIn?

this line of self-questioning stems from a life-long need to project certain perception of myself. what version of that ‘self’ am i trying to protect? i don’t even know anymore.

what i do know is i’m be of overthinking + performing professionalism.

i’d rather be inappropriate than continue obsessing with perception.
